Governance, and Sovereignty. The Center is a part of The
International Strategic Studies Association (ISSA) which
describes itself as a research NGO. The new Center's mission
is to "study the impact, philosophies, and lessons to be
derived from various forms of monarchical governance,
traditional forms of governance related to specific societies,
and the question of sovereignty and the nation and nation-
state." The Center's short form name is The Zehedi Center
and is named after the former prime minister of Iran,
Fazlollah Zahedi.

The Zahedi Center already has a few
research publications available
and more can be expected as time
goes on, I am sure.
been almost two years since I first noted the sad lack of
academic attention paid to monarchy. While I am happy to
have found more studies on monarchy since then, they still
amount to only a handful. This new centre will undoubtedly
increase our understanding of humanity's oldest government
forms.
